In a talk with Nikhil Kamath on his podcast ‘WTF is,’ actress Tara Sutaria shared her thoughts about watching shows and movies on the internet versus going to the movie theater. She said, “We all enjoy watching things online, but there’s something special about going to the cinema. It’s an experience we all love, no matter our age. When you go to the movies, you can gather as a community and forget about your worries for a couple of hours. There have been a lot of worries in recent years, and I can’t wait for people to return to the theaters. I’m happy to see them slowly coming back.”
Sutaria also talked about her childhood, mentioning that it wasn’t always a happy time for her because she was very shy and scared. She said, “I used to stay in my sister’s shadow because I wasn’t comfortable being myself. I was afraid, actually, that’s the right word. I grew up like that, and unfortunately, I faced a lot of teasing and bullying in school and most of my college years, so I chose to pursue theater and skipped college because of the constant bullying. I think it was because I was different, and people didn’t know how to accept that.”
Other guests on the podcast included Navya Naveli Nanda, who founded Project Naveli and co-founded Aara Health, Kaivalya Vohra, co-founder & CTO of Zepto, and Aadit Palicha, co-founder & CEO of Zepto.
