The latest track, “Satranga Re,” from Ranbir Kapoor’s upcoming gangster thriller film Animal, takes a deep dive into the complexities of love. Sung by Arijit Singh, the song explores the darker dimensions of love, delving into themes such as post-marital issues, heartbreak, helplessness, and the struggle to communicate one’s emotions.
“Satranga Re” carries a harmonious yet melancholic tone, narrating a powerful yet tragic romance that crumbles over time, reminiscent of a fragile house of cards. It weaves together elements of mainstream pop, acoustic pop, synth-pop, and experimental music.
In the music video, viewers witness the romance between Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna slowly disintegrate as Mandanna distances herself from Kapoor, who appears deeply involved in what seems to be gangster-related affairs.
The song is composed by Shreyas Puranik, with lyrics by the talented duo Siddharth and Garima. Besides Kapoor and Mandanna, Animal also features Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, and a remarkable ensemble cast. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the film is a crime drama that explores various emotional facets of love.
Animal is set to hit theaters on December 1st, featuring music composed by Pritam’s Jam8. The movie is backed by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar’s T-Series, Murad Khetani’s Cine1 Studios, and Pranay Reddy Vanga’s Bhadrakali Pictures, and it will be released in five languages: Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.
