The actor assured his followers that his team was handling the situation
Prabhas’ official Facebook page fell victim to a hacking incident late on Thursday, but fortunately, the page has been restored since then.
The actor, who was last seen in Adipurush, addressed the issue on his Instagram, assuring his followers that his team was handling the situation. During the hack, two viral videos were shared on Prabhas’ official Facebook page with captions reading ‘Unlucky Humans’ and ‘Ball fails around the world’.
The actor later confirmed the breach on his Instagram Stories, stating, “Hello everyone, my Facebook page has been compromised. Team is sorting this out.” Unfortunately, some internet users chose to troll Prabhas by leaving negative comments on the posts. One such comment read, “Unlucky Humans are the ones who saw Adipurush.”
Adipurush, directed by Om Raut, was Prabhas’ latest project, intended to be an adaptation of the Ramayana. However, the film faced severe criticism for its wrongful portrayal of the Hindu mythological epic. The dialogues and visual effects received significant backlash, and there were objections to the characterizations of lead figures like Raavan and Hanuman.
Consequently, the producers had to make major edits to the film within a week of its release. Writer Manoj Muntashir even issued an apology to the audience for inadvertently hurting sentiments.
The disappointing performance of Adipurush has added to Prabhas’ streak of three consecutive box office disappointments, which include Saaho, Radhe Shyam, and now Adipurush.
