Kim Kardashian Recreates an Iconic Madonna Look

A toned-down version of the OG look

If there is anyone who could go viral twice in the span of 48 hours, it’s Kim Kardashian. The 41-year-old multi-hyphenate has been making waves at the Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week. She turned heads when she strutted down the runway for Balenciaga’s 51st couture collection donning a form-fitting black bodysuit. And if that wasn’t enough to blow us away, Kiki showed up to Olivier Rousteing’s Jean Paul Gaultier haute couture show in an outfit that paid homage to one of the designer’s most iconic outfits that turned into one of pop culture’s most infamous moments.

The Skims founder graced the front row of the show wearing a look from this collection that was inspired by Madonna’s iconic 1992 AMFAR Gala outfit. Of course, Kim’s black figure-hugging maxi dress with exposed nude coloured breast cups was a watered-down version of the look made for the queen of pop (FYI- the original look didn’t have the breast cups. Just two leather harnesses that perfectly framed Madonna’s breasts) it was still enough to grab our attention.

While this outfit by itself is right up Kim’s alley, she managed to make it edgier by accessorizing with black sunglasses, a thick silver choker with an attached nose ring and pointy black boots. The reality star’s 9-year-daughter North also understood the assignment. Sticking to the theme of her mother’s outfit, she too wore a pinstriped dress and a silver choker with a nose ring.

Jean Paul Gaultier confirmed that Kim’s outfit was a tribute to Gaultier’s earlier work by posting a video on Instagram that showed the creation of this outfit. We love everything about this!
