“Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Dunki’ Achieves 300 Crore Global Box Office Milestone, Surpassing Six Films Worldwide, Including Three Featuring Akshay Kumar”
“Dunki, led by Shah Rukh Khan, may have performed below expectations in India, but it has managed to strike a balance by garnering significant overseas earnings. Remarkably, the film’s international box office numbers are just 18% lower than its domestic Indian collections.
In a day or two, Dunki is poised to align its overseas and domestic figures, reaching a significant milestone. With the addition of Wednesday’s collections, the film has now entered the prestigious 300 crore club at the global box office.
It currently stands at 305 crores worldwide, with overseas earnings contributing 125.63 crores to that total. The Indian (nett) collections amount to 152.01 crores, bringing the gross figure to 179.37 crores.

Out of the six films Dunki has surpassed in Koimoi’s Highest-grossing Bollywood Films At The Worldwide Box Office (Above 200 Crores) list, three are Akshay Kumar starrers. Here are the six movies Dunki has outperformed, directed by Rajkumar Hirani:
- Hindi Medium – 304.57 crores
- The Kerala Story – 293.15 crores
- Sooryavanshi – 291.15 crores
- Housefull 4 – 291.08 crores
- Raees – 287.81 crores
- Mission Mangal – 287.18 crores
As Dunki continues its box office journey, it will be interesting to see how soon it can join the 400-crore club. Notably, Dunki faces no significant competition until January 26th, with Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone’s ‘Fighter’ being its most formidable rival.
In terms of the film’s content, our in-house reviewer Shalmesh More, in his Dunki movie review, stated, ‘Despite the collaboration of Rajkumar Hirani, Abhijat Joshi, and Kanika Dhillon, the film falls short of expectations. While it had a promising concept of illegal immigration, it failed to develop it into a compelling narrative. The film feels unconvincing at times and missed the opportunity to be much better. There are indeed moments of genuine humor and emotional depth in Dunki, but overall, it lacks consistency, and the characters fail to leave a lasting impact.'”
