Renowned actor Rio Kapadia, known for his roles in numerous memorable films and television shows, has sadly passed away today after a prolonged battle with cancer.
Rio Kapadia, aged 66, was a familiar face in the industry, and his work was cherished by audiences. He featured in films such as the Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Chak De India,’ where his heartfelt commentary left an indelible mark, Aamir Khan’s blockbuster ‘Dil Chahta Hai,’ Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Happy New Year,’ Vidyut Jamwal’s ‘Khuda Hafiz,’ and many others. The actor’s final rites will be conducted in Goregaon, Mumbai, tomorrow (Friday).
Known for his cheerful and affable nature, Rio Kapadia always wore a radiant smile. Despite his prolonged battle with cancer, his positivity shone through. His last appearance was in the Amazon Prime Video series ‘Made in Heaven Season 2,’ where he portrayed Mrunal Thakur’s father.
In addition to his contributions to Bollywood, Rio Kapadia was a prominent figure in television serials. His acting prowess was evident in shows such as ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi,’ ‘Judwa Raja,’ ‘Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke,’ ‘Kutumb,’ and many others.
