On Sunday, the trailer for Jigra, starring Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina, was released online. In response, Shraddha Kapoor took to her Instagram stories to shower praise on the film. She wrote, “Ye toh theatre mein bhai ke saath dekhna hai,” adding, “Kya kamaal ladki hai @aliaabhatt… Kya amazing trailer hai @vasanbala #Jigra.”
However, fans of Shraddha were quick to point out that director Vasan Bala had previously praised Stree 2 on social media but had failed to tag Shraddha, who stars in the film. Despite this, Shraddha graciously praised him and his upcoming project.
Within minutes of Shraddha’s post, Vasan Bala responded, thanking her for her kind words and adding, “Thank you so much Shraddha, hope you and Siddhanth enjoy the film too.” He took the opportunity to address the oversight, apologizing to Shraddha and her fans. “And unrelated but I’ll take this opportunity to address – sorry to your fans… Bhool chuk maaf,” he added.
Vasan Bala’s humble apology was well-received, further fueling excitement for the upcoming releases of Jigra and Stree 2.
