Recently, there have been a series of disturbing incidents involving concertgoers attacking singers during their performances. One such incident occurred during rapper Cardi B’s concert on Saturday.
While Cardi B was performing her hit song “Bodak Yellow,” a person in the audience threw a drink at her, splashing her in the face. Enraged by the act, Cardi swiftly retaliated by hurling her microphone at the individual, hitting them directly in the face. Watch the incident here:
Despite the interruption caused by the drink being thrown, Cardi B’s music continued playing as she stopped in her tracks to assess the situation. Realizing who was responsible, she took immediate action against the perpetrator, and her security promptly apprehended the individual and removed them from the audience.
Sadly, Cardi B is not the only artist to face such disturbing incidents during their performances.
Singers like Bebe Rexha, Harry Styles, Drake, Kelsea Ballerini, Steve Lacy, Kid Cudi, and Pink have also had concertgoers throw objects at them while they were on stage. These incidents have resulted in injuries and disruptions to their shows.
While Cardi B’s reaction may seen over the top, it is important to note that Bebe Rexha recently needed stitches after a fan threw a phone at her as she performed.
A member of the audience, identified as Nicolas Malvagna, threw his phone at Bebe in the middle of a song. The impact of the phone caused her to be knocked to the ground and resulted in a cut on her eyebrow that needed stitches.
These dangerous and disrespectful actions have prompted other artists, like Adele, to address the issue during their concerts, urging people to adhere to proper concert etiquette and refrain from such behavior.
While Cardi B took the matter into her own hands, it is crucial to ensure the safety and respect of artists during their performances, and concert organizers and security personnel must take measures to prevent such incidents from happening in the future.
